Gus Scacco is a seasoned investment professional with over 35 years of Wall Street experience as a portfolio manager, equity analyst, and strategist. He has a proven track record of investing for both institutional and retail clients.
Most recently as CEO and CIO of Hudson Valley Investment Advisors, Inc., Gus was instrumental in growing assets under management from $425 million to over $1.75 billion. He also founded and managed the successful HVIA Fund, growing it from $3.5 million to more than $70 million. Gus is a recognized media voice on economic and investment strategy, appearing as a monthly guest on Fox Business News shows such as The Claman Countdown and Mornings with Maria Bartiromo.
His distinguished career includes serving as Co-portfolio manager of the Capital Growth Fund at Morgan Stanley Asset Management, lead portfolio manager of the Core Investment Fund at Angelo Gordon Asset Management, and COO and senior analyst at Tiger Shark, a prominent Tiger Management “Tiger Cub” fund.
Gus holds an MBA in Finance from Hofstra’s Frank Zarb Business School, where he was elected Vice President of his graduating class, and a bachelor’s degree in Management from Adelphi University. He also served as an adjunct professor of Undergraduate Finance and Capital Markets at Hofstra University. His board affiliations include serving on the New York Council of Not for Profits, the San Miguel Academy in Newburgh, N.Y., and as part of the senior leadership of the Garnet Medical Foundation. He is also a former board member of the publicly traded Orange Bancorp (“OBT”).
